When all goes quiet Behind my eyes I count the times Our bodies can’t keep lying, like our minds When all goes quiet Behind my eyes I count the times Ive been lifted up, and dropped beside Thank you for witnessing, thank you for standing by So I’m not a forest tree falling, so I know I’ll make a noise Can’t gaslight my recalling, cuz you can verify If you're feeling, feeling something, just some type of way Don’t let 'em say, it aint real Trust your instincts, in the instant, that a flag is raised Don’t be afraid to walk away When all goes quiet behind my eyes Was I even there, another life All goes quiet It's only I I gotta go help mine Ill lift you up, ill be beside I’ll be your witness I’ll keep listening until I understand All the games played, How he made you fold your hand Bout how bit by bit he chipped away the ground on which you stand If you're feeling, feeling something, just some type of way Don’t let 'em say, it aint real Trust your instincts, in the instant, that a flag is raised Don’t be afraid to walk away, run

All-Nighters 04:02
I wish that you had known Wish that you had known before I’m spiraling out I'm dragging us south, you’re there Wish you knew before to walk away Was it good enough Enough to swallow up disdain You’re spiraling too I reach out to you, I’m there The good was good enough again today Light at dawn The All-nighters probably weren’t the call Talk for hours nightlight on the wall Soon we'll go

I tap at the top of the screen On the time, above her name And watched the words fly by A thousand bubbles, blue and grey Who says you can’t travel in time Scrolling up, I'm in rewind Too stuck on you Gotta apple-Q I got headphones in but I’m not listening to anything Running local up to 96 on weekends I take the dog for a walk to try and get some thinking in back at the house I realize I haven’t thought a thing Sometimes a bad week is just 7 bad days, not everything’s a phase I'm trying to figure out If you’re my favorite person Or you just let me be my favorite self for you Im trying to figure out Weather you’re my favorite person Or you just let me be my favorite self for you

* * * Best friend died It’s all there in the Instagram archives How’d we miss the warning signs Full send time Free soloing the Golden Gate icon We were supposed to be his lifeline So if you get to the end of your rope Hold on Yeah if you get to the end of your rope Hold on Why’d you do it why’d you do it, did you have to take a dive? Cuz even if you’re at the end of your rope you can survive Best Friend Died Found floating up the San Francisco tide line Such a lonely climb

about

Entering the world exactly one year after its original release date, (some things went awry since last March!) 'Not That Deep' is the second record from guitarist and songwriter Jack Broza.

The four-song EP runs continuously, merging disparate sound-worlds into one 23-minute listening experience. The songs are equal parts intimate and maximal — confessional lyrics accompanied by only guitar or piano will unexpectedly explode into dramatic and ornately orchestrated walls of sound.

The title of the record comes from a lyric on track three: “Sometimes a bad week, is just seven bad days. Not everything’s a phase…. It’s not that deep, just seven bad days.”

Thank you to everyone who was a part of the extended process of making this record and to all who listen.
